Henna

For more than 5,000 years in India, Africa and the Middle East, people have practiced henna design to embellish and adorn skin in their rites and celebrations of life. Modern sensibilities appreciate its beauty, its elegance; while the ephemeral nature of the stain allows for enjoyment without the permanence of tattooing.

On your day, I will create celebratory henna art designed specifically for you, incorporating your own treasured personally resonating elements, symbology and/or interests.

I use only 100% natural and organic ingredients, each recipe may be gently altered according to sensitivity or allergic needs.

  • Henna Paste - Each batch is mixed by hand, by me. I NEVER USE Black Henna or pre-filled cones.

  • The staining process - Each person's body chemistry is unique, therefore every individual will stain differently. For a deeper, longer lasting stain, it is important to keep the paste on the skin for at least four to eight hours.

  • The Stain - When the paste is removed the stain begins as a light orange and will darken over the next 48 hours. The depth of color and longevity of your stain will depend upon placement, length of time the paste was left on the skin, individual skin chemistry and after-care.
